What's a raid team doing progression without some fun videos showing just what happened? Mythic Beastlord Darmac - Mythic Oregorger - Mythic Gruul More to come!

The road has been long and hard. Through trials and tribulations, through ups and downs, high times and low times ... The raiders were out there. Our efforts rewarded, our Master Recruiter (Karn) put the hammer down, and we found you guys ... and you found us. Together we can accomplish more than if we were alone. The post might be late, but the feelings behind it are still as fresh as the moment it happened. Working as Intended - is once again, a Mythic Team. I for one, am looking forward to the future ahead.
Here we are champions...
More weeks and more raid bosses DEAD. So everyone knows (as this is communicated officially and not necessarily through the GroupMe at all times) is we are still really looking for some awesome people to join the team so we can start taking revenge on some of these Mythic encounters. What exactly do we want? RANGE DPS! What kinds? Well: Boomkin, Warlock, Mage, Ele Shammy, maybe a 3rd(?!) Hunter? MELEE DPS ... pretty good on this front. DK Recruits are always welcome though! HEALER Strong healer. Mistweaver and Resto are of largest need right now, but if you think you'll be a good fit, no need to not try! We take raiding seriously, it is a game but not one that we wish to waste time on not being efficient on. That being said, progress comes from having fun and gelling together as a team - but as friends. Supportive. Friendly. Cultured(?) might be words to describe our environment ... I just prefer the word AWESOME. Want an idea of how it sounds? Look at the streams from progression and farm and kill videos! I might even be getting on that action soon too. We roll into the next reset with a hopefully soon bonus 5 item levels, and the ability to take down 9 farm bosses in 3 hours. I for one, am ready. Bringing the #BDC. How about you? Here we are champions, right in the thick of Blackrock Foundry Progression! With 8 out of the 10 bosses down in Heroic, progression has been awesome thus far! We have been a little silent as of late, though, while we work out the website and find time to do stuff, but there are some important things to make sure everyone knows!
WELCOME BACK KARN!!! Karn is back to tanking two nights a week for the team on progression nights, with me (Ayr!) taking over the off-tank duties on farm nights. It is fantastic to get one of the founding members back into the swing of things, and already progress has been stellar as the synergy has returned! The double brewmaster dream is perfect for farm nights because LOLSTAGGER. WELCOME TO HUGEIDIOT AND BIGMOSS!!! Two recruits of impeccable capability and panache. Hugeidiot joins the healing team as our bubble-friendly dist priest, and Bigmoss as the new padawan-hunter who is challenging all our other DPS to up their game on those meters (promotion to Jedi status is pending on his ability to find a Kaiburr crystal for a lightsaber, that he can’t equip)! On a less excited note, we have had to say a raiding farewell to some of our other members. While we understand that life happens, it doesn’t mean that we won’t miss you in raid and your place as part of the team was appreciated. You’ll be missed, but good luck finding that group that fits your schedule personal goals better!!! So, good luck Jaide, and Amen! To end this update - recruitment continues strongly so we can field a team for Mythics again as we are below the minimum required number of raiders on our roster. Recruitment needs are updated on the forums, in-game barks, and on the website as well. Now is the perfect time to get in and trial and continue to push to the edges of our abilities! Gang we lost one of our founders this week, Prema. Prema has had to move on from the team for personal reasons but I wanted to take some time when I had it to share my thoughts. Prema was a big part of the soul of the team from its very beginning and was the glue holding much of this team together through its early days in Siege of Orgrimmar and Highmaul. She was personally responsible for so much of the day to day activities of this raid team / family and was always in raid with a great attitude and positive spirit. I don't know that we can ever replace her on this team but in the coming days we'll have some adjustments to the leadership structure to try to help fill some of the gap. Prema - please don't stay a stranger and hopefully we'll see you back in the hallowed halls of the WAI one day soon! Much love. As a final tribute, in all its glory...here's a PerpyDerg for ya Well after a quick Mythic Kargath kill, we finally went back and paid some attention to Imperator and put him out of his misery. Ironically enough, it came on a pull when mumble crashed on us. Go figure that the thing holding us back was communication. Maybe less focus on what is being said and more on what we know to do is the key. Good job to all and congrats on the achievement, albeit, belated for what we are capable of.
Onwards to Sunday, we're heading to Twins and can someone put out an ABP for Kalani? Make sure to get into the new forums for discussion around strategy for this fight - the numbers are there, we just need to put it all together and Sunday will definitely be the night. With another week of raiding upon us, we're still at 1/7M. Plans for the week will be to deliver a crushing blow to all of the Heroic bosses on Wednesday with hopes of taking down Kargath and finally those Twin Ogrons on Thursday. Next on our platter will be Brackenspore.
On another note - it is with great sadness that I have to report one of our officers is retiring from the team. Prema has some personal matters to attend to and will no longer be raiding with us. We wish her well with everything she has in front of her and I personally hope that all of you will stay in touch with her as she has been a driving force behind the recruitment and coordination for this team. She will be sorely missed. With that said, we'll be opening recruitment with an eye specifically for exceptional raiders with a strong need for the following classes: Elemental Shaman Mistweaver Monk Hunter DPS Warrior Disc Priest We begin our first full week with Mythic efforts after a warm up in Heroics on Wednesday. Planning on Kargath and Twins for the night. We're still having some raid awareness and positioning issues. These fights all demand a lot of personal responsibility from everyone to know the fights and do what they need to. Some great informal guides on both fights are below. We'll hopefully get a quick clean kill on Kargath and begin efforts on that first CTR Twins kill tonight.
Edit: Raid roster finalized and published for tonight. The link above is still showing last weeks. I should have it published prior to raid. Looking to bring in those that show they have the knack to not stand in bad! The roster is a starting list only. Failure to move out of bad and stay alive will result in benchings. Just a quick update to advise of our raiding plans for the week. We'll plan to utilize Wednesday as our heroic clear day. Let's have everyone ready to go in at 5:30p server with the intent of clearing as much as possible. This will be the only day this week we'll plan on spending time in heroics as a team. The rest of the week will be going after kill #2 on Kargath, taking down the Twins and beginning progression on Brackenspore. Make sure you come with good food, good spirits, and good numbers! |
